The Secret to Successful Community Groups FREE workshops

During National Volunteers Week Goondiwindi Regional Council will be hosting a series of four free workshops throughout the region.

The workshops will cover topics on how to attract and retain volunteers to developing marketing skills necessary to influence your online audience.

These unique opportunities will provide an invaluable experience for community groups and businesses to work alongside experts to improve their organisations presence, projection and productivity.

While each workshop is designed as a standalone, interested parties can sign up for one or more of the events.

Mayor of the Goondiwindi Regional Council the Honourable Cr Lawrence Springborg AM said these topics play an integral part in both community groups and businesses when increasing community engagement and productivity in the region.

“Volunteers are one of the most valuable resource an organisation can have. They assist to connect people with the greater population within the region and provide useful information through communication networks.”

Essentially, the four free workshops will be sharing the secrets of the most successful community groups across the region.

The Social Media Workshop is a valuable tool for any organisation and aims to provide individuals with essential marketing skills. Media Mortar, an award-winning content marketing agency from Brisbane, will lead the 2-hour session.

While the Volunteer Attraction workshops will focus on attracting and retention strategies, designing roles of interest and how to increase engagement and productivity of volunteers. Local Goondiwindi businesswoman, Julia Spicer from Engage and Create Consulting, will lead this 3-hour workshop.

The Australian and Queensland governments jointly fund this project under the Disaster Recovery Funding arrangements.
