Goondiwindi Region Flood Update #12 - Goondiwindi Town - 2 December 2021

The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) have issued an update late this morning for the Macintyre River at Goondiwindi.  The latest prediction is a 10.7 m peak late tomorrow [Friday], similar to the 2011 Flood Peak. 

10.7 m is still within the Goondiwindi town levee.

As standard practice Council will commence the quad bike levee patrols from this afternoon.

Residents near Glenoak Road and Cemetery Road can expect to see water in their neighbourhoods and over the roads from later tonight.

The next update from BoM is expected late this afternoon.

The Local Disaster Management Group is continuing to monitor the situation.
