Goondiwindi Region Flood Update #15 – Rural Properties - 3 December 2021

« Back

Many rural properties across the Goondiwindi Region have been managing cut roads, infrastructure damage, lost crops and stock and in some cases inundation over recent times.

For the eastern end of the region, the immediate flood threat has passed and they are now in recovery phase, however for the western end of the region the water is still on farm or on its way.

The Weir River to Giddi Giddi South has moderate to major flooding, with a slow easing of water levels along Wyaga and Yarrill Creeks.

The Weir River downstream of Giddi Giddi South is experiencing rising flood levels, varying from minor to major floods along the system.

The Weir River at Talwood is rising and BoM is expecting it to reach major flood levels (4.0 m) during Sunday.
