Council Calls Special Meeting to Finalise Waste Tenders

COUNCIL CALLS SPECIAL MEETING TO FINALISE WASTE TENDERS
Mayor Councillor Graeme Scheu has today advised all tenderers and the public that a Special Meeting will be held this Friday, 28 July at 9.30am to decide the two Waste Tenders for the Goondiwindi Landfill and Kerbside Collection.
This follows the Council Special Meeting last Friday where the original decision of Council was repealed due to incorrect figures being made available to Councillors on which they based their decision.
“The meeting will be an open meeting and will only be closed to the public should the need arise to debate specific figures” said Councillor Scheu.
“As was the case last week, this is a Council meeting and not a public meeting and members of the public will not be permitted to address the meeting.”
The meeting will be conducted in the Goondiwindi Council Chambers at 4 McLean Street.
